My mom was reading a wedding time table a few months back and informed that the month before my wedding all I'm supposed to be doing is "enjoying parties in my honor." Sounds pretty good to me :) Turns out I have a lot more to do than that, but thanks to Catherine and some wonderful friends I had a fabulous shower this morning...
Place: Fratello's Restaurant (a beautiful Italian place in the millyard in Manchester)
Hosted By: Catherine - she's a champ for pulling off a fantastic shower in the middle of moving out of her apartment and studying for finals early next week. Love her - A bridesmaid every bride dreams of :)
Time: 11:30 - 1:30ish
Agenda: We enjoyed conversation over appetizers followed by lunch. It was so fun just to catch up with everyone and get updates on their lives, and to talk about Ben of course :) They wanted to know everything and he happens to be my favorite subject of conversation. After I finished my delicious tortellini in a gorgonzola cream sauce they moved me to the head of the table for questioning; Catherine had asked Ben a series of questions that she then quizzed me on, seeing how well I knew my soon-to-be-husband. The questions started with his shoe size (9.5) and ranged from his favorite sport to watch(basketball but only if climbing doesn't count) to his favorite thing I bake (cinnamon bread or snickerdoodles). I missed the one about his mother's maiden name and his favorite meal (that changes frequently), but got the rest of them right. After that it was the rest of the group's turn to see how well they knew me. Catherine had put together a small quiz and turns out Sarah knows me the best (other than Ben of course, who was more thorough on the answers about me than I was). After games I opened beautiful and generous gifts...it makes me so excited to move into our new apartment in a month and a half!
I made sure to take lots of pictures because unfortunately at my shower in Utah I wasn't so diligent. Hayley and Andie put that one together and it was lovely as well. Hayley is a domestic goddess and put together the cutest spread of food!
Thanks to all my wonderful bridesmaids and friends - you girls are fantastic :)
