Busy Busy Busy

Life is crazy and all the wedding details are coming soon - I"m just waiting on pictures (yes, I'm a spaz and left my camera in NH before leaving for the honeymoon). Being married is great. I spend all day at training - but I get to meet my students in just a few days! (I'm a freshman mentor at BYU and love it). After work Ben and I usually go climbing (yes, we have a 'family' membership to the climbing gym now :P) It's so fun coming home after a long day to your best friend :)

We spent the weekend with our favorite married couple, Dave and Sarahjane. After a friday night of yummy food, games, and ice cream - we spent Saturday up in Big Cottonwood canyon climbing (surprise surprise).

Being in a married student ward for church takes a little to get used to - EVERYONE IS MARRIED! You look around during sacrament meeting (basically mass) and its just couple couple couple couple couple, with the occasional person sitting by themselves because their spouse is sitting on the stand. Everyone was great though and I"m excited to get to know them.

Our apartment is still chaos. We do have a fantastic table though - somehow we managed to fit it and the six chairs in or on top of our little car (Ben's a master packer). We have yet to pick a couch or a bed but we're getting there.

Highlight: CALEB FLIES IN TOMORROW!!!
He spends the night with us before reporting to the Missionary Training Center on Wednesday to serve his two year mission for the church. I love my little brother and I"m so proud of him! He is going to be such a great missionary :)

So there are a few updates - more to come, promise :)

The first night

We are back in Provo and back to work. We got in late Monday night and stayed at my aunts before starting to move in yesterday at 4:30. I don't think the two of us have ever been that tired. We hauled box upon box to his car and then up from his car to our new apartment. It's great! I really love it.

The only problem: it's not furnished.

Which isn't actually a problem because we knew that and are excited to furnish it - the problem only immediate because we currently are furnitureless. Its funny because we have beautiful dishes, a perfect new kitchenaid, gorgeous new pans, but no bed. We have glass goblets and now kitchen table. We have china and crystal and no couch. Last night we used Ben's crashpad from climbing, covered in four of my mattress pads, as a bed :) Its kind of like camping and being on an adventure at the same time.

Oh the joys of being newlywed college students!

We are married!

It's been one week today.
Crazy huh?

Sometimes its hard to believe we're actually married because it all just seems so natural!

The ceremony was perfect.
The reception was fabulous.
And after a flawless week of sunsets, kayaks, incredible food, private beaches, midnight swims, and the best company in Key Largo, we're spending two days on Captiva Island with Ben's family before heading back to provo on Monday.

Pictures and all the wedding details to come.

But marriage really is the best. And one of the best things is I look forward to everything. We get to move into our apartment, I'm excited to start work, we get to start our family membership to the climbing gym (oh how i've missed it), my family comes out in just two more weeks for our utah reception, and then we get to have our utah reception, classes and dance start again, we get to see all our friends, ...and I get to do all of it with the love of my life - what could be better?

One more day.
One more goodbye.
One more waking up alone.

One more until forever.

The Wedding Week

Ben is finally here! After waiting a month an a half, his thirty minute plane delay almost killed me. It's so wonderful having him in New Hampshire and having him be with my family. (It's a little bit of a tease because at the moment he's staying at our house till his parents get into town which means he's there right before I go to bed at night and when I walk down for breakfast he's already in the kitchen - its like being married, almost).

Life was crazy busy last week getting the last details done (150 vials of olive oil, 200+ chocolate dipped shortbread cookies, 150 sign in cards..) but now I feel like I get to just sit back and relax. (Or sit back and be slightly overwhelmed, depending on how I'm handling things).

The next five days:
Today (monday) - Pick up marriage license, go out to lunch with parents, haircut and facial, make dinner for fam with Jen, Ben, and Yuki, family night.
Tuesday: finish all summer training stuff for work, make welcome baskets for our of town guests, pick up Dave and Sarahjane from the airport
Wednesday: bsoton for the day with all my favorite visitors :)
Thursday: temple and dinner with all the people flying in (SO much family will be here by then :)  :)
Friday: pictures on the beach, day on the ocean at kennebunk, cookout at the beach house, manicure, bachelorette part
Saturday: greatest day ever. - no matter what really happens.

So much too look forward too - my goals right now:
1. Not get overwhelmed
2. Get enough sleep (its hard - but i guess the rule that Caleb can't go to bed until Ben and I are in our own beds is good incentive to go to sleep so he doesn't hate me)
3. Document everything with pictures and my journal.

"Lovers don't finally meet somewhere. They're in each other all along."
