I have it all.

A little girl named Amy called yesterday.
She lives in Virginia and asked for Lizzie.
In unpracticed English she told me how much her family loved my brother.
And how much Caleb loved their food.
She told me he was their favorite missionary.
She had heard everything about his family, and is excited to meet us someday.

---

Sometimes I find myself staring at a cute new heels
or airfare to a European city
or layouts of three bedroom apartments.
I'll dream of the future when I can afford to see my family when I want
or live in real house big enough for all our stuff
or buy a new outfit for a big occasion.

But you know what?
Someday I might get those things;
I'll have people compliment me on my new shoes,
discuss my adventures with friends we meet in Budapest,
and laugh at the time I though a little three bedroom apartment was big.
I might live in a house,
be able to afford airfare,
and go shopping when the occasion permits.
But that won't be what makes me happy.
Because everything I need to be truly happy, I already have.

I have the most amazing family in the whole world.
I have parents who love each other and the Lord.
I have a siblings who teach me by example.
And I have a husband who will stand by me through anything.
I have a Savior who listens when I talk.
I have a Lord who wants me to come home.
I have Their words to read at my fingertips.

I have friends that teach me to smile.
I have classes that teach me to work.
I have a job that teaches me to love.

I have a life that is a gift,
something that won't get better by new things,
because it is made perfect by the things I already have.
