Okay, so maybe that's an exaggeration. But we choose to be offended. Why is it that I can tell one person I'm not a huge fan of her outfit choice and she references our differences in style and another girl curtly ends the conversation? Its because the second one chooses to be offended.
We don't have the power to choose what other people do or say,
but we choose how we react.
The person who said something offensive may:
1. misspoke
2. not understand the situation
3. be having a blonde moment
4. or just be totally out of it
They also might have completely meant to hurt your feelings.
Either way, its up to you to how you decide to react.
So choose to be unaffected.
Happiness is a choice people.
P.S. Let it be easier for others to choose happiness. Apologize.

love the picture
I think this is something that is SUPER important to remember when you're married. And before you're married with roommates and family. I think our friends and family and husbands RARELY ever MEAN to offend us. So we really do need to choose to be happy and not to be offended. And choose to be the first to apologize so that everyone can be happier. I LOVE this!! :]
This is a great post!! Such a good reminder! Thanks so much!
