How To Be Happy

We are all snuggled into our town house here in Pacific Grove for the next few days. We took a long Sunday walk on the cloudy beach, all bundled in sweatshirts and amid all the beauty, a small part of me was occupied missing the east coast. Who knew California beaches could be peaceful and quaint and let you wear sweatshirts on them without sweating? I thought that was only a New England thing. Regardless, its gorgeous here - and we're having a fabulous time. While you're reading this I'm either at the aquarium, indulging in sea food, or sprawled on the beach with my new book. In the meantime - meet this wonderful girl, and enjoy her tips on happiness!

Hi!!  I'm Ashley from Dancing With Ashley.

  I've realized that people can find happiness in little, every day things. Here is a list, according to Ashley, on how to make that happen.  {With a few links to some of my older posts}

1.  Take care of yourself!  Take time for YOU and do things that life your spirits.   

2.  Wear things that make you feel pretty!  Um...hello!!  This dress in particular always does the job for me.  

3.  Be around people who make you laugh.  There can't be anything better than this...there just can't be.  My siblings do this for me.

4.  Do something for someone else.  When you're in a funk or feeling low, show someone else some kindness.  

5.  Find success in the little things.  Every sock has a match in a load of laundry?  That's success to me!!!

I'm so with Ashley on these tips, especially finding success in the little things. Regardless of what happens in a day, there is at least one little thing to be happy about - and recognizing that can make all the difference.
